About Practice with Samantha

Yoga has been my constant. When things go awry in my life, it always seems that I can find new lessons and depth in my yoga practice. Yoga is a deep ever-evolving practice for me. When I started yoga I was injured from running, lifting, and not really taking care of my body. I thought it wasn't going to be enough of a workout for me. I thought it was going to be easy. Little did I know how much strength, flexibility, and mental focus yoga requires.

My goal for the yoga classes I teach is to make students feel welcome and supported. I love to help my students do things in yoga that they never thought were possible for them. That is the gift yoga has given me and I am excited to share it with others. I also want my students to learn how to truly care for themselves body, mind, and spirit.

Being an older yogi, I am always excited to teach older students. Often I think that older yogis and people with physical issues are neglected in the yoga industry. This is a gap I am excited to fill. Yoga can change lives for those who are older or have limitations and injuries.

My passion is to help people feel great, move better and love everything their bodies can do. I have been teaching yoga since 2007 and received my 500 E-RYT in 2012.
